I first flew a Hols der Teufel during 1943 when I was in the ATC. We used to fly from a small airfield at Hedon near Hull, E Yorks. We all started with ground slides then low hops and finished with high hops and S turns. Some of us progressed on to become members of the Yorkshire GC and flew Falcon 3, Tutor and King Kite. later i was part owner of an Olyppia 2B, Skylark 3, Diamant 18 and finally a Kestrel 19. Now at the age of 87 I fly with my son Timothy Dews in a Grob twin seater.
